Magnesia refractory refers to refractory with magnesite as the raw material and periclase as the main crystalline phase, with a MgO content of 80% 6-85% or more. Compared with other refractory materials, the properties of magnesium refractory materials are as high as 2000C or higher, and have a higher load softening temperature, which can generally reach 1500-1650 "C, but the thermal shock stability is not good. Magnesia refractory products have high thermal conductivity, which decreases with increasing temperature; large thermal expansion coefficient, but the expansion process is relatively gentle; has strong resistance to chemical attack by alkaline slag containing magnesium oxide and calcium oxide Sex. Types of magnesia refractory products: magnesia brick, magnesia silicon brick, magnesia aluminum brick, magnesia calcium brick, magnesia carbon brick, etc.
 
(1) Magnesium brick. The main products in alkaline refractory materials have high refractory properties and have good corrosion resistance to iron oxides, alkaline slag and high calcium flux. Magnesium bricks are divided into fired magnesium bricks and non-fired magnesium bricks. The firing temperature of fired magnesium bricks is generally 1550-1600C, and the firing temperature of high-purity products is 1750C or even higher. The non-fired magnesia brick is generally the same as the fired magnesia brick except that it does not undergo the firing process.
(2) Magnesia brick. With periclase as the main mineral composition and forsterite as the matrix combination, its performance is roughly the same as that of magnesia bricks, but the softening temperature under load is higher than that of magnesia bricks and the slag resistance is also good.
 
(3) Magnesium-aluminum brick. Calcined magnesia containing less calcium is used as raw material, about 8% of industrial alumina powder is added, and acidified pulp waste liquid is used as a binder, and the product is fired at 1580 "C. Compared with magnesia bricks, It has good resistance to rapid freezing and heat, and can withstand water cooling for 20-25 times, or even more times. This is the outstanding advantage of magnesium aluminum brick.
 
(4) Magnesia-calcium brick. Magnesite is the main mineral composition, and tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate are the combination. In addition to poor thermal shock stability, other performance indicators are superior to magnesium bricks.
 
(5) Magnesia-carbon brick. Using high-quality sintered magnesia and carbon materials as raw materials, pressed with various carbonaceous binders, it has a series of excellent properties such as resistance to erosion and flaking.
