Prolong Service Life From Design To Maintenance

1. Design
A. According to the different working condition of different parts of industrial furnace, select different refractory which means that designing mixed lining is the successful experience to prolong service life of glass refractory.
B. Reasonable size of furnace structure can eliminate the pressure between refractory bricks and prolong service life, for instance, open hearth furnace by vault to ceiling.
2. Masonry
A. The appearance of the size of the refractory bricks should be in accordance with the requirements, which means no lack of corners, no lack of edge, no bending and dimensional tolerances to be small.
B. width of brick seam should be narrow, as to smelting furnace, brick seam should be below 1mm, at the same time refractory brick seam should be staggered.
C. Set aside appropriate expansion joints so as to avoid the destruction of the furnace body due to thermal expansion, and the refractory bricks are discarded.
D. if the furnace lining is constructed by amorphous refractory material, it should be crushed in order to prevent the liquid metal infiltrating slag.
3. Oven
During the period of oven, if the temperature is up too fast, the refractory brick seam and the refractory brick inner water evaporation is too fierce, and the expansion force is too large; as to silica brick, there still exists that SiO2 crystal change causes the excessive volume change, resulting in cracking of the furnace body, and even peeling or deformation. Therefore, making reasonable oven temperature curve is necessary according to the types of refractory materials, masonry methods and climatic conditions.
4. Maintenance
A. control the furnace temperature strictly, Prevent drastic fluctuations and prevent over temperature.
B. Prevent bruising lining when feeding.
C. Prevent molten slag splashing and adopt spray repair technology to prolong service life of furnace lining.
